Liberty Schools provides an opportunity for local communities to access quality education and help ease the strain on existing schools in the area. The involvement of community leaders, parents, and educators in the planning process can ensure that the new school meets the needs of the local community and provides the best possible educational experience for its students.
Expansion Updates
Liberty has collected over 900 expressions of support from families in Cherokee County and the surrounding area; in-person and online information sessions will continue to ensure we reach the entire attendance zone (Cherokee, Cobb, Bartow, Fulton, Pickens, Paulding, and the cities of Marietta, Cartersville, and Atlanta).
On August 28, the State Charter School Commission approved our request for a new charter school in Cherokee County!
Our proposed start date, contingent on facilities availability, is August 2026 with grades K-6.
More than 800 people from Fayette and surrounding counties (Clayton, Coweta, Spalding, Henry, and Fulton) have completed the expression of interest for a school to be located in Fayette County.
