Northwest Classical Academy

Northwest Classical Academy is a public charter school open to all Georgia residents. NCA opened its doors in 2021 and was launched by the same team responsible for Atlanta Classical Academy and Liberty Classical Schools. For the 2023-2024 school year, NCA serves approximately 736 students in grades K-9. The school will serve grades K-10 for the 2024-2025 school year and will continue to scale to a K-12 configuration as students advance.

The campus is located at 3010 Cobb Parkway North in Kennesaw, Georgia. It sits in the northwest corner of Cobb County and is accessible by a twenty-minute drive to points in Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow, and Paulding Counties. The 34-acre campus includes a 111,000-square-foot, LEED-certified school building constructed in 2012.

From phonics and literacy instruction to hands-on biology labs and Socratic discussions, students at NCA are offered an education that is rooted in tradition while also preparing them for the future. Our commitment is to build a thriving community where virtues are celebrated and excellence is the norm.

Forming Knowledgeable, Virtuous Citizens

“Teachers at Northwest Classical have the joy of watching their students’ faces as they learn…rather than just observing the backs of their heads as they hunch over a small screen. We can hear every voice in every class; we learn from them as they learn from us.”

Mrs. Lucy Agresta, 4th Grade Teacher at Northwest Classical

FINE ARTS

The Fine Arts program at NCA provides students encouragement and facilitate a space where students can create beauty in a variety of different media including the visual arts, theatrical arts, musical arts and dance.

ATHLETICS

Through participating in the Student Government Association (SGA), students can develop leadership skills, collaborate with their peers, and make decisions that impact their school community.
